Hawzah News Agency- In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC said the targeted assassination in Beirut’s southern suburbs once again exposed the regime’s “cowardice, desperation, and blatant disregard for the repeatedly violated ceasefire.”
According to the statement, the Zionist regime’s attack does not reflect strength, but is “clear evidence of an enemy trapped in strategic paralysis in the face of the region’s nations and the Axis of Resistance.”

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Zionist regime has once again carried out an overt act of state terrorism, assassinating one of Hezbollah’s most dedicated and influential commanders, martyr Haitham Ali Tabatabaei, in a criminal strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. This attack—carried out under the cover of a so-called ceasefire consistently violated by the tyrants of our time—demonstrates nothing but the weakness and desperation of a regime facing defeat on multiple fronts.
The IRGC condemns this brutal crime, which targeted a commander who played a decisive role in defeating Takfiri plots across the region. While expressing deep regret over the silence of international bodies toward Israel’s ongoing massacres and genocidal policies—fully backed by the war-mongering authorities in Washington—the IRGC states:
- The resistance remains vibrant and undefeated. The blood of martyrs further ignites the resolve of free nations and the brave fighters of the Resistance Axis. Every assassination only strengthens the movement’s determination.
- The right of Hezbollah and the Axis of Resistance to retaliate is fully preserved. At the appropriate time, the aggressor will face a decisive and crushing response.
- This crime is part of the Israeli regime’s psychological warfare, aimed at covering up its internal crises and continuous battlefield failures—particularly against the steadfast Lebanese resistance, the valiant Hezbollah fighters, and the unwavering Palestinian resistance. These actions will only deepen global outrage and accelerate the regime’s isolation.
- The Resistance Front will continue its struggle on all fronts—military, political, media, and popular—until the liberation of al-Quds and the eradication of the Zionist regime, the cancerous tumor occupying Palestine.
The IRGC extends condolences to Hezbollah Secretary General and all members of the Lebanese resistance. Reaffirming its pledge to the ideals of the martyrs of the Resistance, including martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Corps stresses that the blood of martyr Haitham Ali Tabatabaei is a strategic asset for the future of the region and the Islamic Ummah—an asset the enemy will never be able to extinguish.
